Kyoto Machiya Stay -Tate Nishiki-

Positive: Très esthétique Negative: La procédure d’arrivée un peu harcelante; nombreux e-mails pour faire le checkin en avance, payer des taxes en avance(6€) alors qu’on avait déjà payé 360€d’avance pour la chambre sous menace de ne pas nous donner la chambre… Le mobilier était très beau mais pas pratique (portes coulissantes qui obligent à choisir entre l’accès au micro-ondes, au frigidaire ou à la vaisselle)

Excellent location, wonderful staff, great room. Positive: The staff were exceptionally accommodating, friendly and helpful with any question we had about Kyoto or travelling in general! We even bumped into them at the local 7/11 and they helped us translate the luggage delivery form for us, so that we could send our luggage to the next accommodation we had! The bathroom was elite, amazing bathtub and shower head, huge amount of shelf space. Negative: It was all great, lovely experience all around.

Nice stay for a first land in Kyoto if you prefer to be slightly off the beaten track. If breakfast was included in the Positive: Spacious rooms, very helpful staff Negative: No breakfast offered, which made the price slightly pricey after all

Peaceful and wonderful Kyoto feel Positive: From the moment we arrived, the treatment and accommodations were impecable!! From the traditional, tranquil Ryokan experience to the wonderful staff, Enso Machiya is the place to stay! It’s over 160 years old!! Not too far from downtown either. Will definitely be returning to Kyoto and staying here! My finance and I stayed here from Tampa, FL Negative: Bumped our heads a few times on the slanted ceilings but no harm no foul. We had some laughs when we did it lol
