Kyoto Machiya Stay -Kasuri-

Positive: Our stay at Enso Machiya felt like stepping into a fairytale. Our room overlooked a beautiful Japanese garden that stretched along the entire length of the apartment and was fully accessible, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. The bathroom featured a lovely enoki-style bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful—simply beautiful. Negative: It’s a little far from the station, but the peaceful surroundings and tranquil atmosphere more than make up for the extra walk.

Beautiful Positive: We stayed in the garden room. The room was beautiful and spacious. Looked like the photos. Comfy beds. Staff were super lovely and gave us heaps of recommendations for our Japan travels. Luxurious touches with the pyjamas and green tea supplied. It was very nice coming home after a long day of walking! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and thought it was good value for money. Negative: Walls were a little thin so the noise travels a bit between rooms but it didn't bother us much.

Super séjour/experience ! Je recommande ! Positive: Une des meilleurs expériences que j’ai vécu dans un hôtel ! Le personnel était vraiment à l’écoute et disponible, ils nous ont même proposé un room tour pour présenter chaque pièces et chaque équipements. La chambres était super grande, le tatami et le sol de la salle de bain était chauffé, la literie était super confortable. Le plus étant le bain en bois donnant sur la petite cours extérieur c’était génial ! Merci beaucoup ! Negative: Seul petit bémol, l’hôtel est peu loin de la station de métro, mais vous êtes proche d’un arrêt de bus ( beaucoup plus pratique à Kyoto )

Authentic Machiya ryokan experience Positive: The Kasuri suite is beautiful and really captured the spirit of Kyoto with its charm and the authentic Machiya ryokan experience that it provided. The staff were incredibly hospitable and attentive. The location was good, with 7/11’s, coffee shops, a nice drug/light grocery store, and Kura sushi nearby. Negative: There were no dislikes. Only suggestions would be offering bed rails or cribs at the property for families with young children (this is a priority suggestion), having white noise machines outside of the rooms to help with noise traveling, and offering a light breakfast for guests.
