Positive: Tout simplement incroyable, la chambre, le personnel, tout.

Not worth it Positive: The room was very nice Negative: The location is terrible. It’s also very noisy in the room as it’s directly in the lobby and on the street. The staff are also quite unhelpful, they charged me a full late checkout fee after being late by 10mins

A wonderful stay in an old kimono shop that was converted into a modernized, but traditional inn! Positive: This was such a wonderful "inn." Originally a kimono shop, it was converted into an inn with modern touches. Yes, the floors are tatami but, there are very comfy western beds. The location is a bit far from say Gion, but riding the buses in Kyoto are a breeze, and staying in this neighborhood gives you a sense of what it may be like to be a local resident. Finally, the staff were very kind, polite, and accomodating!

Beautiful and historical Positive: Amazing property, staff very polite and helpful during stay. Negative: Property was good a bit more on expensive side but room was and history of location made up for it.
